Fabry-Perot Cavities
SLS has accumulated years of experience in designing, testing, and optimizing Fabry-Perot cavities and housings for laser frequency stabilization. Let our experience work for your success. For standard applications, a custom mirror coating, ULE cavity spacer, and appropriate vacuum housing allow for a quick delivery. For custom cavity lengths or applications, SLS has the know-how and supplies to make sure your research goals are achieved and surpassed.
- Assistance selecting a cavity geometry and housing for your application
- Fully characterized zero-crossing temperature (Tzc) of the spacer or cavity
- Single, multi, and broadband coatings with a wide variety of finesse
- Cavity refurbishment with new mirrors, and cleaning of existing cavity mirrors

Cylindrical Cavities
Cylindrical cavities feature a tried-and-true geometry for spectroscopy, offering locked laser linewidths at the 40 Hz level.
- 100 mm long, 1.5 GHz FSR
- 50 mm diameter
- Standard mirror configuration is plano-50 cm ROC

Notched Cavities
Notched cavities offer reduced acceleration sensitivity as compared to a cylindrical design. With a long spacer lengths, such as 100 – 300 mm, it is easier to achieve the lowest thermal noise floor and narrowest laser linewidths. We recommend a notched cavity geometry when Hz-level linewidths and low frequency drift are paramount.
- 100 mm long, 1.5 GHz FSR
- 50 mm diameter
- Standard mirror configuration is plano-50 cm ROC
- Multistage cavity housings for increased thermal isolation available.

NEW 150 MM LONG NOTCHED CAVITIES
For clock and cooling transitions where ultra-stability is of the utmost importance, the 150 mm notched cavity is the perfect combination of high performance and affordability:
- 1.0 GHz free spectral range (150 mm length, 75 mm diameter)
- <6.0 × 10-16 Allan Deviations achievable
- Vacuum housing with multi-shield thermal insulation

Cube Cavities
Cube cavities are the most compact cavity designs, while still delivering narrow linewidth performance. These rigidly-held spacers can be moved without need for realignment.
- 50 mm long, 3.0 GHz FSR
- Standard mirror configuration is plano-50 cm ROC
- 2 x 50 cm ROC mirror configuration also available
- Dual axis cube geometry available

Multiple-Bore Cavities
Greater flexibility and laser stabilization options in a convenient and cost-effective approach with our multi-line and multi-bore cavities. A single cavity spacer can accommodate up to four mirror pairs, providing a frequency reference for many different color lasers.
- Enjoy common-mode drift when locking two to four lasers, e.g., cooling, lattice, and repump lasers for Ba, Sr, or Yb
- Cavity finesse and wavelengths are completely customizable

Midplane Cavities
The careful design and mounting of midplane cavities means low vibration sensitivity in the vertical dimension. These cavities can be relocated while preserving alignment.
- 100 mm long, 1.5 GHz FSR,
78 mm long, 2 GHz FSR option available - Standard mirror configuration is plano-50 cm ROC
